Vacanza Romana ("Vacanza Romana," "we," "us," or "our") is a restaurant located at 2023 Vine Street, El Dorado Hills, California, operated by Dedier Family Company. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website at www.vacanzaromanarestaurant.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies only to information collected through the Site, not to information you give us in person at the restaurant or over the phone.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information you give us directly. When you use a contact or inquiry form on our Site, or email us, we collect the information you choose to provide: typically your name, email address, phone number (if you enter one), and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you.
Reservation information. Reservations on our Site are handled by Resy, a third-party reservation platform. When you book a table, the reservation details you enter, such as your name, email, phone number, party size, date, and any special requests, are collected and processed by Resy under Resy's own privacy policy, not this one. We receive reservation details from Resy so we can prepare for your visit. We encourage you to review Resy's privacy policy at resy.com/privacy before booking.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, when you visit the Site our hosting provider and any analytics tools may automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to keep the Site working and to understand, in aggregate, how it's used.
Cookies. The Site may use cookies (small files stored on your device) to make the Site function and to measure traffic. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Turning off cookies may affect how some parts of the Site work.
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or payment card information through the Site. Payment (if any) for reservations, deposits, or ticketed events is handled by Resy or another third-party processor, not by us.
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We share personal information only in these limited situations:
The Site contains links to third-party services, including Resy and our social media pages. Once you leave our Site or interact with those services, this Privacy Policy no longer applies; the third party's own policy governs. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. There is no industry-standard way to interpret DNT signals, so the Site does not currently respond to them. This disclosure is provided as required by California law (California Business & Professions Code § 22575).
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described above, or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. However, no website or method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
If you are a California resident, California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code § 1798.83) lets you request information about how we share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes, so there is nothing to disclose, but you may contact us at devin@dedierfamilycompany.com with any such request.
Depending on your circumstances, California law may also give you the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at devin@dedierfamilycompany.com. We will respond consistently with applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top and post the new version on this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, so please check back periodically.
